Phantoms Escape Back Yard Brawl With Revolution 34-32

If you Like old school ground and pound football this would be the game for you. Both teams lined up in the I-Formation and ran the ball down each other throat all night.  Running Backs Teddy Walker and Chad Davis both combine for 204 yards rushing and 2 TD Saturday night. Wide Receiver Michael Marshall had a break out game as he Returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a TD and also had a 43 yard TD pass with seconds left in the 2nd quarter. The Phantom defense was tested and had multiple issues that will need to be addressed by Defensive Coordinator Michael Torres as the Revolutions run game gave the Phantoms issues all night.

Though the defense had issues they had 4 interceptions on the day with the final one made by Corner Back Jessie Morris as the Revolution went to the Endzone to their star wide receiver Robert Thomas late in the 4th quarter. The game came down to a 4th and 2 yards to go and the Phantoms went for it on their own 38 yardline. The ball was handed to Chad Davis who converted the 4th down to seal the game and give the Phantoms the 34-32 victory.

The Phantoms will head to Jacksonville next Saturday February 17th  to play the Duval Raider. The Phantoms next 5 games will be away from home and we wish them luck.
