Rivalry’s are built on hate and great games, Saturday night you had both. The Orlando Phantoms and Space Coast Tarheels battled in a great game all the way down to a instant Classic that ended with a 35 yard field goal with :22 seconds left to play in the game. The game went back and forth with the Tarheels QB #16 Matt Parsons connecting with WR #13 Kevin Lincifort for a 17 yard touchdown to take the lead 20-13. On the assuming kickoff #2 Michael Marshall took the kick 98 yards for a touchdown, but after missing the extra point try the Tarheels still had the lead 20-19. With 2:31 left in the game the Tarheel offense took a chance on 4th and 9 from their own 47 yardline, and Cornerback #0 Mike Davis made a play on the Tarheel WR and stopped them from converting on the 4th down conversion. With just about a little over 2 minutes left in the game the Phantoms offense moved into field goal range and Kicker #95 Patrick Miller hit on a 35 yard field goal with :22 seconds left in the game to win 22-20, and stay undefeated as they move to 4-0 in the season.
The Phantoms will travel to St. Petersburg next week to play the Bay Area Reapers on March 9th at 7:00pm.
