The game everyone was waiting for, the Orlando Phantoms (FCFL) and the Magic City Bulls (FFA) lived up to the Hype! A cross league game in the middle of the season against two Powerhouses which has never been before. Whoever came to watch this game got every penny worth of admission as both teams slugged it out for 60 minutes. The Bulls who’ve dominated for more then a decade in Florida showed once again why they win tight games. With the score tied 14-14 Phantoms kicker Patrick Miller lined up for a 48 yard field goal with seconds left on the clock. The kick fell short and #8 Andre O’Neil Jr. from the Bulls returned it for 107 yards for the game winning score with no time on the clock. “When playing an 8-Time Champion you can’t make mistakes, or you’ll pay for it”, said Owner Michael Torres. The Phantoms 16 penalties for 127 yards to the Magic City Bulls 6 penalties for 40 yards ultimately contributed to the Phantoms lost to the Bulls, “Dumb penalties and not being disciplined will do it every time when playing a great team like the Bulls”, said Torres.
The Phantoms will look to regroup as they have another home game this Saturday, March 23rd against the Miami Chiefs. The Chiefs are the defending FCFL Champions and look to get back on track themselves after taking their first lost of the season last Saturday to the Space Coast Tarheels.
